Single Storey Sunroom

Potterhanworth booths, lincoln

This project was for a long-standing client. This existing stonework dwelling sits in a small hamlet within the open countryside.

Following previous successful works carried out on the property the client wanted to create a large sunroom to the rear of the property to maximise the 360 degree views of the established gardens arounds

Following various proposals, it was decided to progress with a flat roof option due to the low level first floor windows creating a simple outdoor terraced area with large overhanging roof. The extension featured large bifolding doors leading to the terrace, with large, glazed roof lanterns to maximise the light.

In order to integrate the proposals with the traditional stonework host cottage a buff-coloured reclaimed brick was utilise with an ornate timber fascia details resulting in the traditional appearance whilst providing a modern internal area fo the family's needs
